When you enter someones home you do it politely, you greet before coming in, you dont just barge in. Same thing with understanding cultures, when you follow an international artist, you need to acknowledge their cultures, their way of living, how fandom life works there. When you bring your ideology to the point of ridiculing something thats already ingrained in the society of said artist you follow without first trying to learn the system, thats colonizer mindset. Its different when you know nothing and you ask politely vs just arguing about smth from the get go. Local fans will educate you if you approach them respectfully. It is also okay to change opinions once you learn new information.

There are better ways to voice concerns with turning it into "I'm right and you're wrong" just cause of clashes of interests
