I was delighted to visit Ex DYNAMIC VICTORY where senior term completed their final exercise of the Commissioning course. With less than 3 weeks to go at @RMASandhurst they are all nicely set to start their Initial Trade Training. #leadership#BritishArmy
Today the Academy paraded in front of Old College to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice whilst serving their country in the Armed Forces. We will remember them.
Last week I was able to visit the Commissioning Course Short, preparing our Reserve and Professionally Qualified Officers for commissioning. They bring knowledge and experience from their civilian career to make huge contributions to the Army.
A huge congratulations to Junior Term for completing Ex LONG REACH, covering 70km+ across Dartmoor, completing command tasks at each checkpoint. A true test of mental and physical resilience.
A huge well done to Gurkha Company Sittang for raising over £800 through Trail Walker 2020 for the Gurkha Welfare Trust. Collectively running 100km, each individual ran a half-marathon leg. A fantastic achievement and a great cause. @gwtorg#gurkhas#charity
During an excellent visit to @bristol_UOTC yesterday, I heard from staff how training will be delivered this term. They continue to adapt to provide students with outstanding training and unique experiences #UOTC#university#leadership#BritishArmy
I couldn’t be more #proud of my son who commissioned from @RMASandhurst a few days ago. He and his c.250 classmates have achieved extraordinary things these past 12 months. Good luck to you all! #findwhereyoubelong#britisharmy#family
Yesterday I visited Gurkha Company Sittang, who were competing in the Sittang Gladiator Competition. The company took part in a series of physical endurance tests, honing their fitness before a well deserved summer break! Well done to all involved.

Well done SSgt Brimble, outstanding work and has recently been awarded RAPTC Sports Coach of the Year 19/20 for his work with the RAPTC Rugby Club. True example of @RMASandhurst excellence. #ArmyConfidence#coach#mentor
Really sorry to say farewell to SSgt Brimble today. He has been an exceptional instr, leader, coach & mentor. More recently, he was instrumental in the re design of our programme to take us through C-19. I cant thank him enough. @RAPTC_Official@RMASandhurst@ArmyComdRMASGp
This week I announced the winner of the Sovereigns’ Banner Competition. Awarded to the best platoon in the intake, they will have the honour of trooping the Sovereigns’ Banner on the Sovereigns’ Parade later in the term. @RMASandhurst#britisharmy#parade#armyconfidence
Last week the senior term completed Ex Dynamic Victory in Norfolk. At the end of the exercise I awarded the rank of Junior Under Officer to the cadets that have excelled @RMASandhurst. Well done to them for all the hard work over the last year!

Yesterday I had a fantastic virtual visit to @UotcExeter. All the University Officer Training Corps have done great work in the virtual space and adapted so well in the current environment. I look forward to visiting more in the coming months. #UOTC#University#BritishArmy
I had the pleasure of visiting the Intermediate Term @RMASandhurst on Ex Roberts’s Return on Hankley Common. Ex RR is an excellent shakeout for the Officer Cadets prior to more arduous exercises later in the term.

Good luck to the 96 Officer Cadets from Commission Course Short 202 who have started their 8-week Course at @RMASandhurst. This includes 72 Officer Cadets who attended University Officer Training Corps and 6 Overseas Cadets, 5 from the Cayman Islands and 1 from Bermuda.
On Mon, I visited 44 Squadron, part of Sandhurst Support Unit which provides transport, communication and vehicle repair to all RMAS activity. The Sqn has done some outstanding work in preparation for the new term. Well done!

HQ RMAS welcomed Commander Home Command today for his first visit to the Academy since Major General Duncan Capps CBE assumed the role of Commandant. He was briefed on the work during the COVID-19 crisis plus direct recognition of the work by 2x Reservists. #sandhurst@UrchTyrone
I was invited by Gurkha Company Sittang to watch their Inter Section Shooting Competition. GCS are integral to training @RMASandhurst, providing vital support to exercises. Great to see them honing their soldiering skills for a busy term ahead!
