For those who follow, this is how c-suite gets quietly fired. Back in July 2025, Scooter was demoted from Hybe America and left the CEO role. They still gave him a “board advisor” but it was essentially an empty title.

The KEY REASONS why his shares are sold NOW and not before is because of BTS comeback. If a major shareholder exits before the comeback, it would rock the boat too much and perhaps send stocks tumbling. Since BTS has had a successful comeback with tons of sales and streams, the timing for his exit could not be better for Hybe.

Hybe America has been a money pit for years, and Scooter’s mismanagement was a huge cause of that. And the reason why hybe’s profit dropped hugely last quarter was because of corporate restructuring for Hybe America. So this was not so much a Scooter decided to sell scenario, but rather he was forced to exit. They had a financial agreement, and a sell date. Everybody parted ways all smiles in public, but this was essentially a firing.

He not only sold his shares, but has also officially retired from his remaining executive roles (Board Director and Senior Advisor). This is a complete exit! No more Scooter in HYBE!
