I told my boyfriend not to pick me up from the airport.

Me: My flight lands late. Just stay home.

Boyfriend: You sure?

Me: Yes. I'll get an Uber.

Boyfriend: Okay.

Me: I'm serious. Don't drive all the way out there.

Boyfriend: Got it.

My flight was supposed to land at 9:40 PM.

Then we got delayed.

11:15.

Then 12:30.

By the time we landed, it was almost 2 AM.

I turned my phone back on.

No Uber drivers nearby.

Great.

I grabbed my suitcase and walked toward the pickup area.

That's when an older woman from my flight stopped me.

Woman: Honey, is that man waiting for you?

Me: What man?

She pointed through the glass doors......
