@1776v1984@adammocklerr Do you think kids at public schools should be charged out of pocket for the textbooks they lease? Or the jerseys they wear for the sports they play? Or for using the school’s computers?
@Madeittoofar@adammocklerr Schools are responsible for their safety and wellbeing while they are in the bui. That includes feeding them. The idea that a child should go into debt to the school they legally required to attend is absurd
@Madeittoofar@adammocklerr Ok, that’s what I thought. That’s a separate issue. You don’t like what the schools serve. I’m saying that children should not be charged out of pocket for lunch at school.
@1776v1984@adammocklerr I was replying to “Your kids aren’t my responsibility”. But if you pay taxes some of is already going to public schools.
When I comes to vouchers, they redistribute wealth from poor families to wealthy ones to subsidize the private school tuition they were going to pay anyway.
@Black_D_Gamer1 You understand the these schools already have cafeteria, right? They already serve breakfast and lunch. It’s about shift resources so a 5th grader doesn’t have “lunch debt”.
