The masquerade you see in this video took place in Ternopil on Oct. 1 as part of Ukraine’s Defenders Day commemorations.

The symbolism is hardly subtle: the spectacle draws a direct line of continuity between today’s Ukrainian Armed Forces and the OUN and UPA.

In other words, the message being projected is that the modern Ukrainian military embraces the legacy of movements whose history includes collaboration with Nazi Germany, participation in the Holocaust, the mass killing of Polish civilians, and the murder of Ukrainians deemed politically or ethnically undesirable.

And we are supposed to call this “decolonization.”

When state-sponsored ceremonies romanticize such a legacy, wrap it in military pageantry, and present it as a tradition for a modern European army to inherit, calling the result “radical nationalism” is hardly an exercise in imagination.

European taxpayers might reasonably ask what exactly they are being forced to subsidize — and Ukraine’s neighbors should ask an even more uncomfortable question: can a country that glorifies this legacy really be trusted to behave like a friendly European neighbor?

Nazis kept extremely detailed records of every single person in camps and how each person died.

One can go through from 1933-1945 and count how many Jews were in each camp. Page after page shows mainly Christians, including camps that per propaganda were Jewish hot spots.

Here I have just random 3 pages from 1940s Dachau camp, and it shows 7 Jews out of all those people.
I've gone through each year and each month extensively over the past few years.

1938 November is supposed to be where 10k Jews came in (documents for that month happen to be washed off and hard to read), then they were released after they showed a plan to migrate out of Germany. That alone is enough evidence that they weren't systematically killed. They all got released and migrated, many of them to US, including Klaus Schwabs biological mother, whom I found in the boat records (random side note).

For more than two months, I have been working on a truly horrific story about one of the gravest war crimes committed by the United States since Vietnam: The bombing of the Shajareh Tayyebeh school in Minab, Iran. It was one of the first targets struck in the opening hours of the war on February 28, 2026.

At least 156 people were killed in the U.S. cruise missile strikes—120 of them were children and 26 were teachers. We spoke to survivors, first responders, parents, doctors, teachers, psychologists, and other witnesses. Some of them had never before shared their experiences of that day.

It would be impossible to do justice to what happened in Minab that day with words alone. In more than 25 years in journalism and reporting on war, I do not believe I have reported on a more heinous single crime.
