the legislation (defining "man" and "woman") amendmant bill has had its first reading by the nz government. if passed, women and men BY LAW will be recongised by their biological sex. this will jeopardize safety for trans, non binary, and intersex people. 🧵
@ExclCross@linkkling Look I'm (evidently) against transphobia but the only time I heard Luxin in a video mention anything trans related was like the most clumsily told yet affirming joke ever... He really does not come off as transphobic. Unless you have something concrete I find it hard to believe.
@KazennaVa@JaynezPlays@diegomkw I agree. There's so many good art styles from Ghost in the Shell to Cowboy Bebop or Serial Experiments Lain and I do feel nowadays the uniqueness of such artstyles isn't as prevalent as it once was. I like seeing artists do their own thing, uniqueness breathes life into works.
@KazennaVa@JaynezPlays@diegomkw I get what you mean, but that can be said of a lot of anime of the time too. If anything I think it's more of a market trends thing. That kind of soft squishy/cutesy looking style sells NOW. That's my guess. Since it also sells, its what more artists dabble in. Just a guess tho.
@Gastrone2@Tailsfan_EWfan2@Bandeater1 You get satisfaction. It makes you feel good. You tell yourself you're doing the right thing. But fun fact, you're not, and your religion isn't an objective truth. It has been edited across eons by institutions. You can believe what you want, but expect to be called out for it.
@StarWarsDaily_ The prequels still had a fully planned out plot and story. The sequels had multiple directors without a unified vision to finish the trilogy. Despite how clunky some of the prequels may have been they still hold water. The sequels just feel disappointing to look back on nowadays.
@Luxin_Xeno Your work and passion for the series is appreciated! Honestly there's always so much to unpack with the series as far as history, content and references. So the video length does not surprise me given that. Plus, getting analytical work like that out ain't easy.
Okay so the world in Genesis is formed like a O'Neill cylinder space station and you know how many people can live on that thing? 10 million people and do you know how many people are planned to be going into deep space from Klaus world? Yeah 10 Million!
