different qurʾānic spellings
maṣāḥif from India have a different spelling from those from the Maghreb, Turkey, Iran, and Saudia
e.g. IPak: تَتَوَفّٰىهُمُ
Madina:
16:28
in IPak the dagger is a vowel sign,
in M. it is a small alif lengthening fatḥa
@Deborah_Feldman@JuedischeOnline sorry: was heißt "based". Danke.
(their neoIranian spelling has no sukūn, and Iranians - like Ottomans/Turks - do not mark assimilation; because the waw has no vowel sign (is not wa/wi/wu) it is ū: the qāf needs no vowel sign -- strange but coherent, easy for Persians, but ...)

The second main difference is assimilation,
e.g. 2:8
Turkey
KFE/UṬaha مَن يَقُولُ (the nūn is partly mute: no sign)
IPak has a šadda over the following yā' مَنۡ يَّقُلوۡلُ and has to put a jazm above waw (otherwise it would be mute)
Tabʿ-o Našr in Tehran:
Turkey has تَتَوَفّٰيهُمُ
with yā'-dots (like in the Maghreb)
Because Maġ does not write dots on final ى ں ڡ ٯ
because they do not need them, the King Fuʾād muṣḥaf (KFE) does not use for alif in the shape of yāʾ (even in the middle of a word)
