This morning, @NUP_Ug leaders gathered at the party headquarters in Kavule for a press conference to address several matters, including the official unveiling of the party's LC1 and Women Council flagbearers.

During the press conference, the leaders strongly condemned the continued disregard for the rule of law, following the abduction of the party's Deputy President for Buganda, Hon. Muwanga Kivumbi, and other people who are still pursuing justice.

The week has opened at the NUP Headquarters where our party leaders have addressed crucial issues centering around the persistent rights abuses, where the case of our Deputy President for Buganda Hon Muwanga Kivumbi has been cited. The continued persecution of political prisoners, their coercion and unjust detention has also been highlighted. The party leadership also through the mobilization secretary called on the general public to embrace the upcoming LCI elections, where oppressed citizens have been tasked to rally behind candidates carrying the umbrella symbol.
