I definitely have a better grasp on this game than I did for France vs Spain yesterday. I think Argentina are definitely worse than people thought at the start of the tournament and I honestly think they are pretty lucky to be in the semifinals. They have had the easiest road here BY FAR. Their group stage matches were against Algeria, Austria, and Jordan. Then they went to extra time with Cape Verde, trailed 2-0 vs Egypt with 15 minutes to play, and were 50/50 with Switzerland until Embolo got sent off. I am by no means counting them out, but they are not untouchable. Argentina lacks attacking and defense in the wide areas and that is exactly where I think England will hurt them. Gordon has been playing very well and I think Saka/Rashford will make a big impact today as well. Harry Kane also poses a challenge for the Argentine defense. He loves to drop in to the midfield and play as a VERY DEEP false 9. Christian Romero and Lisandro Martinez, Argentina's centerbacks, both love to chase the ball and are "hungry" defenders. I think they will be tempted to chase Kane when he drops into the midfield, which will leave room for balls in behind for Bellingham and England's wide players. This is going to be a very interesting match and I am extremely excited. I see 2-1 or 3-1 England, but wouldn't be surprised if regular time ends 1-1 or 2-2. Good luck everyone!

I went back and forth all day and finally landed here. Both of these attacks are way too good for this to be a 0-0 or 1-0 game, even though both teams have good defenses. I just took Fabian Ruiz shot on goal on BetMGM at +230 when it is +140ish other places, so go grab that while you can. I think there is potential for this game to have four or five goals IF someone scores early and opens the game up. Regardless, these are the two best teams on the planet and this is going to be an awesome game. Enjoy it!

There are still three teams in this group who can win the group, so I expect them to give their best effort today, unlike Germany did. Japan was one of my top dark horses at the start of the tournament and I think they’ll be able to exploit a Swedish defense that has been underwhelming so far through two matches. The analysis is simple in the other game: the Netherlands are far better than Tunisia and will have no problem getting the three points. I think Japan wins 2-1 and Netherlands dominates on the way to a 3-0 victory.

Everyone knows that France is one of, if not the best, teams at this World Cup. Last week, we saw them beat a quality Senegal team 3-1 behind a brace from Mbappe. On that same day, we also saw Iraq get tormented by Norway, losing 4-1. I think Iraq is a bottom 5 team in this tournament and France should have no problem scoring goals tonight. Their high press and dynamic attack will look to push the pace and I think a 4-0 or 5-0 scoreline is likely on this one.
