Last night we appeared on Scotland's most watched news programme, urging NatureScot not to grant a licence for the Guga hunt this year. Nobody needs to kill seabirds for a "prized delicacy" and it's shocking this has been allowed for so long.
Breaking: More than 700 dolphins killed in one day of Faroe Islands hunts amid equipment failures, chaotic scenes & arrest of conservation observers!
Wicked beyond belief and utterly heartbreaking
Complete blood thirsty devastation of a gentle species all in the name of tradition

The EU must stop looking away from the Faroe Islands’ grindadráp. Parliament and the Commission should use every political and trade lever available to put real pressure on Denmark and the Faroese authorities to end this slaughter. #StopTheGrind#AnimalWelfare#AnimalCruelty
In Vinnytsia, Ukraine, a female stork was widowed when her mate died. She is incubating her eggs and is unable to feed herself.
Local residents have started feeding her.
@janischshane The time for whaling to end is now
The continued whaling by Iceland, Japan and Norway is not about cultural survival or economic necessity – it is about politics, nationalism and the unwillingness of a few powerful interests to let go of an outdated and unsustainable practice
Norway's whalers have already killed 56 minke whales in April 2026 alone racing toward a horrific quota of 1,641! 😢 Iceland's gearing up to slaughter 318 more, while Japan's infamous kangei Maru factory ship butchers whales right now. This barbarism must end #BanWhalingForever
It's ironic that the US Federal Gov't announced plans to extinguish bison from public lands in northern Montana on the same day that the great Ted Turner died. Turner personally acquired and restored some of the last tracts of American prairie for bison and other wildlife.
The crazy thing is, cattle already occupy 659 million acres across America! And still politicians, at the behest of livestock industry extremists, want more and more, at the expense of America's national icon, the bison, of which just 0.1% of the original population remains.
In December, the Govt will decide if it will renew the glyphosate licence until 2041…
•That’s 15 more years of impacts on worms, bees, soils and run-off into ponds and rivers, and glyphosate in your food. Sign Garden Organic’s petition NOW to ban this dangerous herbicide.
On Europe day, spare a thought for Georgians
For the 𝟓𝟐𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, day in, day out, they turn out on the streets of Tbilisi, insisting they are part of Europe, not Putin's Russia
