I have a five-year-old cousin who was born in the USA and has lived there her entire life.
She is always telling her mom that she wants a baby brother or sister, but unfortunately her mom has had a hard time conceiving.
Her dad (my uncle) told her that she has many cousins in Nigeria. She always seemed happy about that and wanted to see us.
Her dad brought her to Nigeria for her fifth birthday, which was yesterday. All of us her thirty-six cousins gathered in the parlour of the family house, waiting for her.
She had no idea what surprise was waiting for her until her dad arrived with her and asked her to open the parlour door.
The moment she opened it, we all started singing “Happy Birthday to You” in one voice. She seemed confused at first, but then she smiled and looked so happy. After we finished singing, her first question was, “Are all of you my cousins?”
We answered in a loud chorus, “Yesssss!” Everyone rushed forward to hug her at once. She was simply overjoyed.
Now the problem is that this little girl keeps telling her dad she does not want to go back to the USA.

It must be genuinely painful for those who declared Nigeria a "disgraced country" and marched their supporters behind that declaration to watch what is happening right now.
Number-one stock exchange on Earth in 2026. Bloomberg said it. Not Aso Rock.
FTSE Russell returning Nigeria to Frontier Market status. S&P placing Nigeria on its 2027 watchlist. Foreign capital inflows up 90 percent. External reserves at a 13-year high. The IMF retaining a 4.1 percent growth forecast while your own country's economy crawls at 1 percent.
1.64 million students receiving interest-free education loans. 40,000 women receiving free cesarean sections. Kidney dialysis cut from N50,000 to N12,000. Communities that had no electricity for 30 years getting power this week.
None of this happened because of you. None of this stopped because of you. Nigeria is winning without your participation, your endorsement, or your permission.
That is the most Nigerian thing that has ever happened.
Bet against Asiwaju at your own peril. The market already has. And the market does not lie.
Two men of God spoke in support of Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently. They're Reverend Father Mbaka and Pastor Adeboye respectively. But Obi decided to tactically attack and set only ONE of them up for his erratic mob.
This is a clown that is talking about unity 😆
@abdullahayofel I used to drive a Kia Soul that was ALWAYS WRONGLY classified as an SUV.

You think you’ve seen it all, abi? 😂
The loudest backlash hit when the First Lady encouraged women to empower themselves through simple trades like selling akara and kuli-kuli are from the IBOs.
Yet, a lawmaker in Anambra distributed brand new 2025 Haemmerlin Clipso Model 3 wheelbarrows, and shovels for manual labour 🤣🤣 , the same critics stayed strangely silent.
Don’t let them gaslight you.
As you can see, this reveals the issue was never the message, but the messenger
The double standard is glaring. Ire o
FACTS ARE STUBBORN.
You don’t have to love the President, just love your country.
A Kenyan analyst compared Nigeria and Kenya with hard data from 2023 till date.
Foreigners are seeing the massive impact of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, but Nigerians are being blinded by inherited hatred.
Nigerian Pentecostal pastors created a pastor-dependent church culture where many Christians rely on them for everything, even political engagement. Earlier Christians did not wait for pastors to drive societal change. If churches criticize pastors today for not speaking up, it is largely a result of the system we the pastors created.
