@JakeSherman Its amazing how many things he thinks the filibuster is stopping us from doing.
Its almost like he has no real sense of how government actually works.
NEW: A blistering response to Justice Dept's claim that the alleged UFC plot shows why a new White House ballroom is needed
Preservation group argues:
"Sunday’s event, with 4,000 attendees, would not have even fit in the proposed ballroom"
"The President, the Vice-President, and Speaker Johnson all attended, with full Secret Service knowledge of the alleged plot that was 'detected and disrupted' four days earlier"

Everyone, this is SERIOUS.
There is a #russianfuelcrisis, shortages reported all over russia, Moscow is running out and the public is freaking out, which makes it even worse, so PLEASE don't use the hashtag #russianfuelcrisis and DEFINITELY DON'T retweet this message. PLEASE ❗️
@thehill I get why that is an issue but in a lot of places there are partisan elections for judges.
Why do we try to pretend they aren't politicians on some level?
@YOLO_TrustSelf@politico Part of what is getting moved is the office oversees the administration of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
Over 30 states need financial and functional assistance with meeting IDEA requirements for students with disabilities.
This will cause confusion.
The Left wants the White House to feel like an untouchable institution reserved for political elites. They hate seeing it used for events that remind Americans it belongs to them.
Turning the White House into a place of celebration, culture, and public engagement, especially as we approach America’s 250th, strips away the myth that government is something distant and above the American people.
No surprise the Democrats despised last night’s UFC event, but what truly frustrates them is what it represents: a White House that feels like the people’s house again.
@Koormax@nice1959@JohannaNyman5 You are parsing words to argue the VP isn't entirely wrong. How is that not playing with words?
Also WWII ended with the Surrender of the Axis powers.
Which is the actual point here.
@Koormax@nice1959@JohannaNyman5 No offense but when you use the phrase "technically correct" you are the one playing with words
WWII ended with the surrender of Germany and Japan. Everything after that was the winners negotiating with each other about the postwar status quo.
