Multiple investors in LoanX, a securitised debt instrument (SDI) distributed via Grip Invest, are currently facing payment defaults after Up Money classified the underlying loan pool backing the product as non-performing assets (NPAs). Apart from Up Money, SDIs offered by VFS Capital have also defaulted.

A Chennai-based investor, who requested anonymity, disclosed that he had invested around Rs 91,000 for a single unit on Grip Invest and is now receiving communications from Up Money SDI trustees, requiring the investor pool to vote on a proposed settlement, effectively asking them to take a haircut on their principal and interest payments. The voting on the proposal is yet to be finalised. By law, a minimum of 51% of investors (by number of units held) need to vote in favour of the proposal for it to be considered further.

For many investors like him, LoanX was positioned as a predictable, fixed-income alternative by Grip Invest, with investments promising up to 14% pre-tax IRR (internal rate of return), as per Grip’s official website.

@IGPcom @taruns11 1. you are from the event(occassion) domain so you have to be very sure about your deliveries otherwise it can ruin someone's plan. think in the perspective of marriage events, if you will deliver gifts after marriage then there will be no value of that. The same thing happened .
