Internet fist bump to the entrepreneur who, in April 2017, asked me how to go about doing an extremely ambitious company and who has sent 2 years worth of updates titled:
$COMPANY: $MONTH $YEAR
The last one: "We did it! Finally have $NUMBER in the bank!"
(Now the work begins.)

🥇🏆 Our No. 1 post in 2023 was the Clojure In interview we did with @griffinbank's CTO & Co-founder @arohner — where he shared how they’ve built a fully-regulated, API-driven bank, using Clojure 💡➡️

@dustingetz Proton appears to be significantly more secure, because it's e2e encrypted, and fastmail is not. I didn't see the value in leaving google for another company that can spy on me.
@nhooey@jamesd3142 They aren't inaccessible features, they're extra logic in CDK that isn't included in an API. "If you're configuring a new EKS cluster, also do X and Y. If config flag Z is set, also do Z'"
@nhooey@jamesd3142 It stalled out for business reasons. We had to write code for each new API we wanted to support. Also AWS Cloudformation and CDK include lots of extra functionality that you don't get using the API directly. See e.g. EKS spin up.
@atmarc If not using bazel, I wouldn't recommend AOT in tests for the reasons you describe. The speedup is also not as big because only one JVM startup. In our repo, it would be 1:30 per build. Nice, but not game-changing.
