If I had a nickel for every time @CaymanCardiffX starred in a Gay Vertical that ended in Betrayal & on a Cliffhanger where I desperately need a Sequel…I’d have 2 nickels which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it’s happened twice!
@KaidentheKaiden One Word: Marketing.
It was decided to Market the Anime directly to boys in the States.
They dubbed the whole series in full & Canada & Aus got to see it uncut. America got the Edited Down Version. So out went the tradicional Girly Opening & In came the Harder Edgier Opening.
@RasKass__ DQ 1 you had to read EVERYTHING! Everything was in context clues of the NPCs. It was cool but annoying (for me because reasons 🤣) I got up to Cantlin but didn’t know about the Faerie Flute & got recked. DQ8 having that FF12 Demo brought me back to stay! DQ8 is still a fave game!
Dragon Quest was the 1st JRPG I ever experienced. I was about 5 or so receiving it with my NES. The game was so hard & I had no real clue what I was doing. I had no guide, there was no internet, & if I called that 1-800# my mom would’ve killed me. But I loved the game to bits.
Je suis très curieux de savoir : quelles sont les raisons pour lesquelles vous aimez Dragon Quest ? 💜
Qu'est-ce que DQ représente pour vous, et qu'est-ce qui fait que vous achetez ces jeux à leur sortie ? 😊
@TheDavidVinc I did not get to experience those 3 as they came out.
I retroactively played 9 after beating 10 & wanting more Final Fantasy & loved it! I had a friend let me borrow Tactics & it was frustratingly tough but I enjoyed. I will agree this was a time in gaming!
@daninbathrooms Cruel Intentions (1999) being a Modern Remake of Dangerous Liaisons (1988) comes to mind. Much better in my opinion to the original movie.
The World Cup uniting the World better than the Olympics ever has! 🤣😍
Splitting the duties between the 3 Countries that make up North America was the smartest decision!
@TheDavidVinc THANK YOU! I was just telling this to some friends! The scope & ambition of that game was severely limited by the NES. It would greatly benefit from Modern Graphics & Design Schemes.
