As bad as this outage is in eastern Canada, imagine how much worse it would be if Rogers gets to control all of Shaw's internet infrastructure in the west. This is basically exhibit A in the case against industry consolidation.
The fact that when Rogers goes out, it knocks out ATMs, Non cash payment abilities, 911 services, internet and mobile from almost all of Canada should be the warning sign that monopolies put Canadian citizens at unnecessary risk
5 years ago 72 people died because they were trapped in a government mandated death trap. 5 years later and we can’t forget their names. We must continue to fight for justice for them and their families. 💚💚✊ #Justice4Grenfell

I am Tenant Duty Counsel at the Landlord & Tenant Board Tribunal today. Duty counsel means I help Tenants who have no legal representation.
The LTB has scheduled me in 6 different rooms, with a total of 42 hearings, ALL starting at 9 AM.
This is an #AccessToJustice issue.

Today is the deadline for the federal government to appeal tow federal court decisions in the long-standing human rights case for First Nations children. They appealed an order on capital in September- hope there is not another @JustinTrudeau
