@NYCkopp The post is misleading. Before reopening in 1992 the park was a drug infested, crime-ridden place you walked by as fast as possible. I lived in nyc in the 70’s and 80’s and saw it in person. A private company manages it to this day. The revival in 1992 made it what it is today.
