There is something deeply troubling about a society that is quick to demand the harshest punishment for children, while celebrating convicted plunderers, tolerating corruption, and rewarding leaders who normalize violence.
Young people do not grow up in a vacuum. They learn from the values we model, the behavior we reward, and the systems we build around them. Violence rarely begins at the moment it becomes visible. It is often preceded by bullying, social isolation, neglect, untreated trauma, and countless missed opportunities for intervention.
If we want children to reject violence, then we must also be willing to examine the ways our society excuses, glorifies, and profits from it. We cannot celebrate violence among adults and expect young people to learn a different lesson.
Good people have high levels of empathy, but once that empathy is exhausted, they switch to a state of objective observation. They see you for exactly who you are, without the filter of their love. This is why their anger feels so cold, it is the absence of the warmth you took for granted
@uwujeybi Generally means “farewell” - sa biyahe overseas whether short vacation or permanent residence abroad, retirement, leaving an organization, or goodbye to being single (“despedida del soltera/o”), it’s wishing for a good and safe journey to another stage in life.
Unahin mo iluto yung pancit canton, hanguin mo yung noodles with a strainer at tongs na hindi tinatapon yung tubig, then yung tubig na pinaglutuan nung noodles doon mo ilaga yung itlog para less na yung boiling time, hindi pa macontaminate yung noodles ng anumang dumi meron doon sa eggshell.

BREAKING: Typhoon #Mekkhala (#FranciscoPH) becomes a Category 4 typhoon in the US scale by the Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC) — with 1-min winds of 115 kts (~215 km/h).
This is the first Category 4 typhoon in June in the Western Pacific (WPAC) basin of the 2020s decade, and in 14 years — Typhoon "Guchol" in 2012.
Meanwhile, the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) now assessed its 10-min winds at 175 km/h. Due to its rapid increase in wind intensity, and still in an area of conducive environment, it is now likely that the storm may reach "super typhoon" later today.
Note: No models are predicting the system to reach super typhoon intensity.
Landfall in the Philippines and Taiwan is LESS LIKELY. However, it may have a direct pass in the Okinawa Islands later this week.
Disclaimer: JTWC is using 1-min sustained winds, meanwhile, PAGASA and JMA are using 10-min sustained winds.

Western VS Filipino Psychology
Americans are individualistic. (I, me, mine)
Filipinos are collectivistic.
"I love you" in Filipino is 'Mahal kita"
"Mahal kita" if translated word by word is "Love us"
NOT "I love u."
Filipino love is not individualistic but collective.
Just interpreting the image: The choke hold around the neck would somehow appear restrictive pero yung dikit naman ng ulo niya sa batok mo na parang may act of hinahalikan pa niya. says na he’s not wanting to separate w/ you dahil you need to go. It’s showing both strength and vulnerability at the same time.
It’s kinda beautiful, just my two cents.
