It’s because they don’t trust you enough with their emotional well-being. They don’t even have the luxury of venting out their anxiety.

Just as men will never truly feel what it is like for a woman to live her life with her guard up, looking over her shoulder, a Hindu will never truly know what it is to live as a minority in India - your identity under threat 24x7.

From casual remarks in social circles to outright hatred being peddled in the media and on the streets, every single Muslim citizen is in some form of anguish over what’s happening, no matter where in the country they live.

This is not who we once aspired to be.

Everyone who has chosen to stay quiet when the fringe was just fringe - has enabled this venomous ecosystem our future generations will grow up in.

"I have *minority* friends” is a statement to make yourself feel better. They are not specimen samples to prove your misguided sense of inclusivity.

We all have hate-spewing relatives, friends, colleagues and neighbours. Call out their bigotry to their face or disconnect/distance from them. Please exit that toxic WhatsApp group.

We are far too deep within the rot to simply "adjust".

Do you realise that if those brainwashed youth on the streets had access to education, they would have been demanding jobs instead of blood?

It is easier for their masters to keep their raging testosterone occupied with destruction and unrest. None of those youth have any clue what their own religion stands for - let alone someone else’s.

Their frustration with life and lack of purpose has been brutally and strategically weaponised.

Maybe we don’t speak out enough because it is truly emotionally taxing to deal with trolls and online assault.

Compare that to people who are likely to be ostracised, disenfranchised, or even killed for merely belonging to another religion or to a tribe that’s settled for centuries on valuable land.

I pray to the universe that the hate doesn’t come to your door. That’s the nature of hate. Once released in the air, it finds its way into everyone’s nostrils.

Remember… for the one in love with power, everyone else is the enemy.

ऐसा लगता है कि आदिपुरुष फ़िल्म के निर्देशक और लेखक भारत के मानस को समझ नहीं पाए हैं. जिस तरह की राइटिंग, लेखक मनोज शुक्ला ट्विटर के कुछ दस हज़ार लोगों की वाहवाही के लिए करते हैं, उन्हें शायद ये ग़लतफ़हमी हुई कि अब पूरा भारत ऐसे ही राम को चाहता है. कुछ कारों के पीछे लगे हनुमान जी के ग़ुस्सैल भावों वाले स्टिकर से उन्होंने सोच लिया कि भारत के लोग बदल रहे हैं. ऐसा नहीं है कि ऐसे लोग हैं ही नहीं. ज़रूर हैं पर वे भारतीय समाज के प्रतिनिधि नहीं हैं. इस फ़िल्म पर आई आम लोगों की प्रतिक्रिया से तो लगता है कि वे अब भी राम को करुणा, सौम्यता और मर्यादा की छवि मानते हैं. अगर हनुमान उनके भक्त हैं तो उनके जैसे ही होंगे ना. भक्ति का अर्थ तो सब समझते हैं ना.

ये देश इतना सरल भी नहीं है. कई लोग रावण को बुराई का प्रतीक मानते हैं, तो कई लोग इज़्ज़त से भी देखते हैं. कई लोग रामचरितमानस को धार्मिक किताब मानते हैं तो कई लोग साहित्य के तौर पर भी देखते हैं. इसी भारत में राम और उनकी कहानी के हज़ारों वर्ज़न हैं. एक दूसरे से एकदम अलग. कोई उन कहानियों को लेकर आपस में लड़ता नहीं है. लेकिन ट्विटर पर एक अलग समाज बसता है जिसकी वजह से लगता है कि पूरा भारत एक सिविल वॉर में है.

मुझे इस फ़िल्म के लोगों के लिए बुरा लग रहा है. मैं क्रिएटिव फ़्रीडम की पक्षधर हूँ. मैं इस फ़िल्म को धार्मिक नज़र से देखती ही नहीं. मुझ में इतनी समझ और सहनशीलता है. ये दुर्भाग्य है कि लोगों में सिनेमा को देखने-परखने और उससे कुछ सकारात्मक हासिल करने की समझ अभी बहुत कच्ची है. आजकल फ़िल्म बनाने वालों की नीयत भी कुछ सकारात्मक देने की है नहीं. इस फ़िल्म के निर्देशक ही चाहते थे कि इस फ़िल्म को धर्म की नज़र से देखा जाये. फ़िल्म के लेखक ही तो चाहते हैं कि ये समाज अब ‘बर्दाश्त’ न करे. बर्दाश्त करना और विविधता को स्वीकार करना दो अलग बातें हैं.

आप ये अपेक्षा कैसे कर सकते हैं कि जिस असहनशील समाज को आप तैयार कर रहे हैं, किसी दिन आप ख़ुद उसकी असहनशीलता का शिकार नहीं होंगे.

Mas o discurso sempre cai em “casos isolados”, “um torcedor”. Não, não são casos isolados. São episódios contínuos espalhados por várias cidades da Espanha (e até em um programa de televisão).

As provas estão aí no vídeo. Agora pergunto: quantos desses racistas tiveram nomes e fotos expostos em sites? Eu respondo pra facilitar: zero. Nenhum pra contar uma história triste ou pedir aquelas falsas desculpas públicas.

O que falta para criminalizarem essas pessoas? E punirem esportivamente os clubes? Por que os patrocinadores não cobram a La Liga? As televisões não se incomodam de transmitir essa barbárie a cada fim de semana?

O problema é gravíssimo e comunicados não funcionam mais. Me culpar para justificar atos criminosos também não.
