A mistake in the thinking of many traders is to hold the view that their Trading Strategy is their edge. It’s not.

A trading strategy or set of strategies is essential, but there are tens of millions of traders out there, almost certainly many who use (or used) the same strategy.

Its probably far truer, that the edge comes from the trader’s ability to apply their strategy effectively.

It's that element that requires a high level of ability and skill, and those skills are far more behavioural than they are technical.
