@AssistsPhillies people just use him as a scapegoat. people need to stop overracting with arraez it’s been 3 bad games. he’s a .300 hitter which means failing 70% of the time still. people calling for longs job cannot name a single replacement they’d rather have instead
@ChopAbusador@RileyDaGoat_ we both agree that we don’t like the play. i’m not disputing any of that, i never said that he shouldve had his legs broken, the play in a vacuum is not good for the game but i hate the argument that this altered his trajectory
@ChopAbusador@RileyDaGoat_ it was legal at the time, yes we’ve changed the rules since because of it and think it is better for the game. but i don’t believe the takeout slide has a bearing on tejadas career either. he had a decent season or two but was a bad player prior to and following the slide
@iankopey i agree, i think people blame kevin long without evidence because it’s easy. it’s all personnel. like maybe alec bohm is just an okay hitter. maybe schwarber always struck out a lot. maybe justin crawford is just 22. maybe arraez has been here for 1 WEEK
@CKilgarriff11 i think at the very least alvy, stubbs, and bohm are gone
guys like backhus, shugart and kerk have a lot of team control. dave loves his team control. i could only see kerk moved as a change of scenery
@SensiblePhillie i agree, in general i think being in a wild card spot bodes better for us, we feed off energy and i think the week and half long layoff with the bye had us coming in anemic
@InTheAlleyPod if arraez stays i see him at third or left. if he doesn’t, 2nd seems like the play
most likely feels like an infield spot, hasn’t played outfield in a very long time
