Most people don’t know this, but @ChrisLaCivita had to have private security at his home during the 2024 campaign because not only did the Iranians try to kill President Trump, but they also tried to kill his campaign manager and top staff. They threatened to kill @SusieWiles too.

Should have been a huge story but they kept it very hush hush. I know this for a fact.

It hasn’t been reported, but @RealTomHoman had to raise money for private security after the election because the Iranians and the Cartels tried to assassinate him as well, and @JoeBiden refused to give Homan Secret Service protection during the transition.

I took this picture of First Lady Melania Trump in North Carolina right before Thanksgiving. She spent all day with children, many of whom had parents who were deployed. Here’s what I took away from the experience…

She’s been covered for years in a two dimensional way—the wife, the model, the caricature mainstream media created. Perhaps because I was raised by a strong woman who taught me to march to the beat of my own drum, I better understand who Melania is.

She doesn’t care about perception or negative stories. She’s not living as a photo op. She’s fully secure in herself and in command of her own life. Most women (and men) in politics are looking to fill a void through applause or attention. That is NOT Melania. She is completely content.

Yes, she’s married to our great president. But she is an equal. She is not just a politician’s wife. Far from it. She has her own thoughts and opinions. She came to this country on her own and had a career long before politics—facts often omitted from her coverage.

She’s choosing to help children through her initiatives, not for fanfare, but because she truly cares. Most First Ladies opt for simple causes, but she’s tackling AI, revenge porn, reuniting children misplaced by war, the list goes on.

I have a good meter for who is real and who’s not. First Lady Melania Trump is authentic all the way. It’s unfortunate she’s been burned so much by the media and friends, but she doesn’t seem fazed by it. She understands politics is a dirty business. It all comes with the territory. I just got a phone call from a very nice lady who told me that she was calling from "Card Services". She said that a credit card had been applied for in my name and she noticed that the applicant's address is in Michigan while records indicate that I live in Florida. She told me that she was transferring me to a supervisor who would confirm my information so that they could put an alert in the credit bureau for me. Little did they know that I handle fraud at work and that's not how any of this works. Oddly, when I told her that one of my work duties is fraud detection and resolution she hung up. I don't like to think of myself as "elderly" elderly (I'm 67) but this is exactly the kind that many of my older members here at the credit union fall for. NEVER GIVE PERSONAL INFO OUT OVER THE PHONE OR VIA EMAIL. No legitimate business will ask for personal information like that.
