@Elia_0_@gonergnostic because it occupies the two of them the rest of the night, the alternative is that they leave to get Toriel, and then Susie has all afternoon to try and sneak in or find some other code, Kris' part of the deal is Susie Handler, and this gives them something to do immediately
@Loganepeta@gonergnostic "church dark world tonight" is said by the caller, implying they were discussing said dark world, followed by the situation changing, then a reluctant "...I'll be right there" like the plans changed, makes complete gramatic sense, the conversation at hand was about the church
@Elia_0_@gonergnostic the only freaking evidence for carolcaller is that she shows up after "I'll be right there", which The Knight also does!!! it shows up in the church early too!!! the caller says "church dw tonight" then it opens it early!!! it goes both ways no matter how you slice it!!!!!!
@Solatreon@gonergnostic like with the attention to detail in this game so far, we're seriously just going to say the earthbound sfx used only otherwise in ANOTHER HIM is just Toby's answer for "crappy phone speaker" then sure Carol is the caller but like, really?? really??? it's just a coincidence???
@Solatreon@gonergnostic maybe the fact that later in the same ch's WR Kris is directly called by Carol and it is a normal textbox with her voice and none of the weird gastery shit lmao.
if we think that toby chose that sound just as coincidence when he could've done anything else then anything goes LOL
@Solatreon@gonergnostic this isn't even remotely a similar comparison, the point of this post is that if you think the person talking in spiky black giygas sound textboxes is Carol, then she may as well be the spiky black Knight, it's hard to imagine anyone except The Knight is producing those messages
@FoursideKM@gonergnostic additionally it seems completely reasonable to assume that if The Knight and Carol are working together, that any time a big move is happening in Hometown, she is alerted as well, which explains her coming home early as well
@FoursideKM@gonergnostic I really don't see how its a cheap misdirect at all, the caller planned on the dark world to be created "tonight", then suddenly its already there in the middle of the day, and the Knight is right at the entrance unlike the other time we enter a Knight dark world
@wandydoodles@MushroomWarning I'm so glad that the part about the happieness being highest if you never do anything was intentional because that's the funniest part of the bit for me
@empyrealviolet well I'd say that the "trapped in asylum" line was in reference to Flowery trapped in his glass case unable to do anything to help Asgore based on the title of his boss theme but yeah
@empyrealviolet okay but none of those characters are in a prophecy panel, I like the subversion he isn't the boss but c'mon, it's pretty different for that reason alone
@transcuck@fambramb the thing that confounds me is how could this not just be foreshadowing to whatever else is going to happen from the Weird Route, like, what about this SPECIFICALLY connects to the Knight, and not just going nowhere together with Noelle in general??
@wandydoodles I think the game is genuinely bugged because I played ch4 the night before ch5 and Jack was saved by everyone in ch4 but I still got this line? Like I absolutely saw that scene only for the game to treat it like he died.
@ClericKnight@BloonaBlazes I think I have art reposted on my account deep down before ch3 that literally depicts him as a cat because his connection to cat petterz and circles was so obvious before we even knew about the tail of hell
@ClericKnight@BloonaBlazes people had figured out friend was a cat long before chapter 3, and essentially was confirmed upon his appearance in that chapter, I know this personality because my first thought seeing him was "omg yes cat Mike theory was correct!!!"
