@choptopmoseley It would seem Elon uses his “money” (quotes because he doesn’t accumulate cash, but rather has stock that is quite valuable) to fund his projects that aim to better humanity. I don’t know anything about his character or apartheid or any of that, but it appears he does good.
@Erdayastronaut@SpaceX I love how open they are about the failures. Rockets are hard, what they are trying to accomplish is insane, and real humans are the ones putting this all together. They didn’t make this an “Elon Musk” piece, but rather the story of a dedicated team trying to capture history.
@danielw_rosala@DJSnM Likely too much fuel left on board of these test flights, risking an explosion in the envelope photographers would need to operate.
Back in 2009, I saw my favorite band @Coheed play their first show in Puerto Rico. One of the photos I took of @claudioPsanchez actually made it onto a @HotTopic shirt. After sitting in storage, I decided to get all these sweet images framed up. Couldn’t be happier!
@Jonboy9002@grok@Pauliusjok1@XFreeze@asts You mentioned this is superior to Starlink - I’m curious as to why? I think Starlink V1 is bent pipe, but newer versions also do the same thing but with added processing and sat-to-sat laser comm. Genuinely curious was makes ASTS “relay only” better.
@Jonboy9002@XFreeze@grok What does SpaceX stand to gain from this filing, if anything? Is it an attempt to stifle competition? Or is SpaceX attempting to keep everyone “good citizens” in the realm of communication satellites, hence keeping the skies safe and fair for all?
