I don’t care if the books fans are pissed. As a non-book reader this season of House of the Dragon is the first season of this show that actually felt like one of the seasons of the original. That was a proper finale. The battle alone is probably one of the best in the entire series. Not saying there were low moments or flaws but this was an immense improvement over last season. Hope they keep the momentum going. @HBO - don’t fuck it up by trying to restrict the budget!
@evercaderetro I just bought your Rare Superpocket a few days ago. Fantastic device that has already made me discover several games I had never considered. I love the color and build quality.
Just have one problem. Some of the games the controls are not the best. You guys should consider offering a way to remap the buttons. I don't think it would be too hard to implement and it would massively improve the user experience.
Bought a Super Pocket on impulse. Was not expecting much but I’m pleasantly surprised by the build quality. The screen is better than I expected. Banjo looks great. I’m excited about the upcoming Doom cartridge. Biggest positive thing I can say is that thanks to the Rare edition I discovered the Battletoads franchise.
I feel for the guy, but it’s been 14 years. He has been rich and has become one of the most successful authors of our time. If he wanted to he could have finished the books already. Even if he wrote only 1 page a day. People complete a PhD in less than half the time. I thank him for creating the GOT universe, and for his involment with HBO whether good or bad. Lot of the early seasons benefited from him being there.
People should view the books out there as a complete work. Even his last book was a drop in quality from the rest. I distinctly remember how repetitive it felt and how I just wanted to end reading it.
It’s okay George, you can rest now. If the stress of finishing the books is giving you depression and making you sad, then don’t do it.
I didn’t have N64 and never thought I would be interested in playing any of the library, but this has made me excited to give the N64 a serious try. You guys should pitch something to Microsoft to let you re-release games like Conker. I would love re-releases of games that are expensive on the retro market now.
Over the past couple of weeks, I've discovered several Xbox games that actually run and look better on Series X than on PS5 Pro. These games were updated around the time or were developed with the Xbox One X in mind. The PS4 Pro couldn't really match the specs, so even though there were games that were released on both, the Xbox version looks better.
Some of these games also got enhanced when the Series X came out. The one that seems to shine the most is Prey. Doom 2016 looks beautiful. There are others.
@shaneoftheyear It’s as close to perfect as a game can be. Other games have story and dialogue, but this one is everything a game should be. I’ve been playing games for close 30+ years and this is still a phenomenal game after 10 years.
Hey @XBOX, you know what would make me buy a lot more games from you guys? If you offered an easy way to play my "play anywhere" games on the Steam deck. Just a thought...
I don’t know who needs to hear this but YouTubers and other social media influencers/people with 1000s of followers are not your friends. They don’t know you. When they ask you to comment and subscribe, they don’t really care what you have to say as much as they claim they do.
These people also don’t need to be sent gifts or given favors for them to acknowledge you. I have lost track of countless times video game YouTubers says “this was given to me by a fan of the show” and they can’t even remember who the person was. They make more money than you, so if you are going out of your way to gift them expensive or high value items, they are taking advantage of you. And it doesn’t matter how much you tell yourself that’s your way of supporting them. Your views and likes support them. That’s it.
People need to realize the psychology of what happens when you have all these lonely people trying to outdo each other and donating, contributing, gifting. There are hundreds of people doing the same, and the only people that gain something are the influencers. Be smart with your attention and money.
Business people who run corporations don't give a shit about products. I have seen this in many industries. If they did, they would recognize when something is special.
id declined after Quake 3. Every game they made was not as successful. Rage was really fun, but it had a lot of flaws. I kind of lost track after Carmack left and then in 2016 everyone was talking about the new Doom, and how awesome it was. I bought the game then but didn't play it until last year. Then I learned Eternal was considered by many even better. Then TDA comes out and it's a technical marvel.
That is 3 awesome games by a studio in the span of a decade. We rarely get that nowadays. These guys could have continued making fantastic games forever. They had the pedigree and carried the name of the studio and the legacy of the very first fps games. And all it took were a bunch of people at Microsoft who never played a game in their life to kill it all.
This will go down in history as one of the greatest tragedies to ever happen in videogames.
Really hope all those guys can find a way to get their own studio and keep making awesome games.
