Google updated Antigravity and silently replaced every developer's IDE with a chatbot.
no warning. no opt-out. just an auto-update that nuked your terminal, your extensions, your chat history and your entire setup.
developers lost months of chat history, project context and extensions overnight.
THE FIX: uninstall everything, hunt down "Antigravity IDE" separately, manually migrate your appdata folders and pray
google shipped an IDE update that removed the IDE, broke the install path, killed the migration and made users do manual folder surgery to get back to where they started
cursor didn't need to say a word this week. google did it for them.
Introducing Antigravity 2.0, a new standalone desktop application that delivers fully on that original glimpse of a truly agent-optimized experience.
Rebuilt from the ground up with multi-agent teams, scheduled tasks, native voice and one-click integration with other Google products.

This tweet is going viral from a user who created their account in June 2020. In that same month, they posted a โpredictionโ claiming the COVID pandemic would end in 2023 and that Hantavirus would emerge in 2026.
And this is how these โSCAMSโ work:
Someone creates an X account, sets it to private, and posts hundreds of different predictions with every possible virus name and scenario imaginable. Then, once one event vaguely lines up with reality, they delete all the other failed predictions and leave only the โcorrectโ one visible.
People do the exact same thing with predictions about the Pope dying, celebrity deaths, wars, and other major events.
Youโre welcome.
holy shit anthropic just solved the rate limit problem and the reason why is genuinely insane
they signed a deal with elon musk's spacex to take over the ENTIRE colossus 1 data center in memphis.
- 300+ megawatts of compute coming online within the month. that's enough power for 300,000 homes. dedicated entirely to running claude.
- 220,000 nvidia GPUs. H100s, H200s, next-gen GB200s. all of it. (the same cluster xAI built grok on lol)
- claude code rate limits: DOUBLED for all paid users starting now
- peak hour slowdowns: gone. completely removed for pro and max users.
- claude opus API limits raised significantly for builders
but wait.. the musk angle is the actually insane part.
2 months ago he called anthropic a company that "hates western civilization." spent last week with their leadership. called them "highly competent." leased them his supercomputer.
and this isn't even the biggest compute deal anthropic has. they also have 5GW with amazon, 5GW with google/broadcom coming 2027, $30B of azure with microsoft/nvidia.
they're also exploring orbital AI data centers with spacex (not a joke)
this company is scaling its infrastructure faster than anyone realises. the rate limits were never a model problem. they were a compute problem. and that problem is rapidly being solved.

Weโve agreed to a partnership with @SpaceX that will substantially increase our compute capacity.
This, along with our other recent compute deals, means that weโve been able to increase our usage limits for Claude Code and the Claude API.
McKinsey charges $500K to tell you how to run your business.
Anthropic and OpenAI just sent their own engineers to do it instead.
For free.
Both companies launched on the same day.
Both picked the same strategy.
Both chose the same targets: hospitals, factories, mid-sized businesses.
Not to sell software.
To sit with real workers.
Learn real workflows.
Get so deep inside that removing them becomes impossible.
Palantir built a $90B company on this exact move.
The AI labs just figured out the same thing.. The consulting industry isn't losing clients.. It's losing its reason to exist.
