Today, around 7:00 PM, personnel from Pakistan’s Federal Constabulary (FC) raided our home in the village without any prior notice or legal justification. My father already been forcibly disappeared for over three months—his only “crime” being father and my crime is to speak against human rights violations.

During the raid, my family members were harassed and threatened. This is part of a calculated pattern of collective punishment, aimed at instilling fear and silence among those who dare to speak out.

Today, as we choose the path of peaceful resistance, we are targeted through enforced disappearances, defamation, and intimidation. One by one, our voices are being silenced, and the state seeks to erase us by labeling us “terrorists.”

Every child in Balochistan is raised with the hope that one day, they will see peace on their own land. To steal this struggle is to steal that hope, and that is something we will never allow.

Case Update: Re-Arrest of Dr. Mahrang Baloch and BYC Leaders on Baseless Charges

In a troubling display of legal overreach, Dr. Mahrang Baloch and her colleagues, Beebow Baloch, Gulzadi Baloch, Bebarg Baloch, Sibghat Ullah Shahjee, and Mama Ghaffar Baloch, were abruptly removed from preventive custody early this morning and re-arrested on what appear to be fabricated charges.

Since March, Dr. Mahrang and the other activists had been detained without formal charges under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO). Today, instead of being released or brought before a judicial board for the legally mandated review of their extended detention, they were suddenly produced before the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Quetta. The court handed them over to police on a 10-day remand based on highly fabricated First Information Reports (FIRs), a move seemingly intended to prolong their incarceration in the absence of credible evidence.

A judicial board was officially scheduled to convene at 12:30 PM today to assess the legality of their MPO detention. However, at 7:00 AM, the Superintendent of Hudda District Prison Quetta informed the detainees that the MPO orders had been withdrawn. By 10:00 AM, a police team arrived, re-arrested them, and presented them before the ATC. During the hearing, officials from the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) falsely informed the judges that the judicial board had already withdrawn the MPO orders, an apparent misrepresentation of the facts.

In reality, the judicial board, comprising senior judges, including the Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court, was still scheduled to meet at 12:30 PM and had not yet issued any decision. Our legal team and family members immediately proceeded to the High Court, where they confirmed the hearing was still set to take place. During the 12:30 PM session, the judicial board formally ordered the release of Dr. Mahrang and her colleagues in the 3MPO case.

Crucially, before this official release order was issued, police had already re-arrested Dr. Mahrang and others on the basis of fabricated FIRs. On this basis, the ATC granted a 10-day remand, preempting the judicial process and effectively nullifying the board’s decision before it was even made.

This blatant manipulation of the timeline, where prison and CTD officials acted before the legal review had taken place, reveals a disturbing level of misconduct. It reflects a calculated and unlawful effort by state authorities and security agencies to bypass judicial oversight and suppress political dissent.

This sequence of events is nothing short of a mockery of the legal process. The state has weaponized the law to target and silence Baloch human rights defenders.

گزشتہ روز، 29 جون کو، پنجگور میں 10 برس سے جبری گمشدگی کا شکار ظہیر احمد کے صاحبزادے اور بلوچ یکجہتی کمیٹی پنجگور زون کے آرگنائزنگ کمیٹی کے ممبر زیشان ظہیر کو پاکستانی فوج کے پرائیویٹ ملیشیا، بدنامِ زمانہ ڈیتھ اسکواڈ کے اہلکاروں نے فٹبال چوک سے اغوا کیا۔

زیشان کی جبری گمشدگی کے فوراً بعد اہل خانہ اور عوام کی جانب سے پنجگور میں دھرنا دیا گیا، جو رات گئے تک جاری رہا۔ آج 30 جون کی صبح نو بجے، ان کے خاندان کو زیشان کی مسخ شدہ لاش وصول ہوئی۔

21 سالہ زیشان ظہیر ایک سرگرم سیاسی اور انسانی حقوق کے کارکن تھے، جو اپنے والد ظہیر احمد سمیت بلوچستان بھر میں جبری گمشدگیوں اور بلوچ نسل کشی کے خلاف مسلسل آواز بلند کر رہے تھے۔ وہ ریاستی جبر، تشدد اور ماورائے عدالت کارروائیوں کے خلاف ایک باشعور سیاسی موقف رکھتے تھے۔

زیشان ظہیر کا ماورائے عدالت قتل پاکستانی فوج اور اس کی پرائیویٹ ملیشیا کے ہاتھوں بلوچ نسل کشی اور بلوچستان میں گزشتہ سات دہائیوں سے جاری ریاستی مظالم کا تسلسل ہے۔ بلوچستان میں اس وقت جنگل کا قانون نافذ ہے، جہاں روزانہ کی بنیاد پر بلوچ شہریوں کو جبری لاپتہ کر کے ان کی مسخ شدہ لاشیں پھینکی جا رہی ہیں۔ ریاستی درندگی اپنی انتہا کو پہنچ چکی ہے، اور قانون کی کوئی عملداری ��ظر نہیں آتی۔

𝙋𝙖𝙣𝙟𝙜𝙪𝙧, 𝘽𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣 – 30 𝙅𝙪𝙣𝙚 2025

Zeeshan, a 21-year-old student and resident of Khudabadan, Panjgur, was enforcedly disappeared by state-backed death squad on the night of 29 June 2025 at approximately 8:00 PM from Football Chowk, Panjgur. Zeeshan was the son of Zaheer Ahmed, who himself has been forcibly disappeared since 13, April 2015 and remains missing to this day.

In the hours following Zeeshan’s abduction, his family staged a sit-in protest across the CPEC road in Panjgur, demanding his immediate release and raising urgent alarm over his safety.

Tragically, today morning around 9: am the family received devastating news: Zeeshan’s bullet-riddled body was discovered near Surdu Ghareeb Nawaz Hotel. Hid body bore multiple gunshot wounds.

The targeted killing of Zeeshan, who had already endured the trauma of growing up without his father due to enforced disappearance, illustrates the multigenerational cycle of violence and repression inflicted on Baloch families by Pakistani authorities.

PAKISTAN: More than 38 hours since Mahrang Baloch's unlawful detention, she is still being denied access to her lawyers and family. There are also worrying reports of continued arbitrary arrests and detentions across Balochistan province.

Pakistani authorities must immediately release Mahrang Baloch and all others being detained for exercising their right to peaceful protest, and refrain from implicating Baloch activists in frivolous cases to unlawfully prolong their detention.

Our demands are as follows:

1. The FIR of the firing incidents in Mastung, Talar, Gwadar, Nushki, and Turbat, where protesters were martyred and injured by Frontier Corps (FC), should be registered against the Corps Commander.

2. The Home Department should immediately notify that no further use of force or violence by the state military will occur.

3. The Chief Minister and his cabinet should come to Gwadar and acknowledge in a press conference with us that the government of Balochistan is responsible for the damages caused during this entire period. They should admit that they attempted to crush this public peaceful program with violence and passed the order for the use of force. The government of Balochistan should condemn the loss of life and property.

4. All participants of the Baloch National Gathering who have been arrested or forcibly disappeared from peaceful gatherings and their homes should be immediately released, and all FIRs should be quashed.

5. All roads should be reopened, the undeclared curfew in Makuran, including Gwadar, should be immediately lifted, the water supply in Gwadar should be restored, and internet services should be immediately restored across the region.

6. The Government of Pakistan should notify that no participant or helper of the Baloch National Gathering will be harassed, and no further FIR will be filed in this regard. Moreover, no unnecessary force will be used in any future peaceful program.

7. The government of Balochistan should compensate the general public for the financial damages caused by the state military and intelligence agencies during the Baloch National Gathering, including breaking into their homes, burning vehicles, or confiscating personal belongings.

Urgent attention!

Currently, the Pakistani Army and FC have launched another brutal and violent attack on the peaceful Baloch National Gathering sit-in in Gwadar.

Surrounding the sit-in from all sides, they have indiscriminately fired upon peaceful protesters and subjected them to severe violence, resulting in multiple injuries and the arrest of hundreds.

At this moment, the Pakistani state is committing extreme oppression and tyranny against peaceful protesters in Gwadar. The entire city has been held hostage at gunpoint by the Pakistani military. We are not being allowed to evacuate the injured, nor are ambulances being given passage.

Now, the scenes in Gwadar are nothing short of apocalyptic!

I urge you all to immediately write to human rights organizations, journalists, and anyone concerned with human rights, as thousands of lives are currently at extreme risk in Gwadar.

بلوچ راجی مچی 28 جولائی بروز اتوار شام 3 بجے پدی زِر گوادر میں منعقد ہوگا۔

جیسا کہ آپ کے علم میں ہے، ریاست پاکستان بلوچ راجی مچی کو ناکام بنانے کے لیے اپنے تمام تر وسائل اور طاقت کا استعمال کر رہی ہے، جو ریاستی بوکھلاہٹ اور خوف کو صاف ظاہر کرتی ہے۔ اسے بلوچ راجی مچی کے سامنے ریاستی شکست اور بلوچ راجی مچی کی کامیابی سمجھا جاتا ہے۔

اس کے علاوہ، ریاستی جبر اور مظالم نے بلوچ راجی مچی کی اہمیت کو دوگنا کردیا ہے۔ اب یہ صرف بلوچ یکجہتی کمیٹی کا نہیں، بلکہ بلوچ سماج کے ہر طبقہ فکر کے لیے اہمیت کا حامل ہوگیا ہے اور ہونا بھی چاہیے۔ اگر ہم آج ریاست پاکستان کے ظلم، جبر، اور بربریت کے سامنے خاموش ہوجائیں تو اس کے نتائج ہمارے موجود اور آنے والی نسلوں کو بھگتنے ہوں گے۔ لہٰذا یہ وقت خاموش ہونے کا نہیں، مزاحمت کرنے کا ہے۔ ہر طبقہ فکر کو ہر طریقے سے اس مزاحمت میں اپنا کردار ادا کرنا چاہیے۔ اب ہر بلوچ کا کردار ادا کرنا لازمی بن چکا ہے۔

آخر میں ہم 28 جولائی کو گوادر کے علاوہ (گوادر میں دکاندار بلوچ راجی مچی کے شرکاء کو سامان اور ضروری اشیاء مہیا کریں گے) پورے مکران میں بلوچ راجی مچی کے احترام میں شٹر ڈاؤن ہڑتال کا اعلان کرتے ہیں۔ ہم سمجھتے ہیں کہ بلوچ راجی مچی بل��چ نسل کشی، بلوچ قوم کے درمیان اتحاد و اتفاق پیدا کرنے، اور بلوچ قوم کی تشکیل نو کے خلاف ایک منظم عوامی جدوجہد کا آغاز ہے۔ اس لیے اس راجی مچی کے احترام میں بلوچ راج کے تمام دکاندار، کاروباری حضرات، اور تاجر برادری رضاکارانہ بنیادوں پر شٹر ڈاؤن ہڑتال کریں اور بلوچ راجی مچی اور بلوچ قومی بقاء کی جدوجہد میں اپنا کردار ادا کریں۔
