The inscription on Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s grave ends with the words ‘A poet and a revolutionary’. This I believe is taken from the quote “Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, who embraced martyrdom. The people’s leader, a friend of the poor, a poet and a revolutionary who became a legend even before his death.” On the day I passed the 26th amendment our little Zulfikar was born. There is indeed some poetic justice in knowing that baby Zulfikar will grow up in a changed Pakistan.
