🚨Importantes noticias en la ayuda de EEUU a Venezuela

De acuerdo a un alto funcionario del Departamento de Estado esta mañana el Aeropuerto Simón Bolívar ya tiene una de sus pistas operativa y está recibiendo aviones C-17.

Esto es absolutamente fundamental para poner en marcha la logística de la respuesta, llevar más equipos al terreno, transportar suministros y todo el equipo pesado necesario.

Ahora que el aeropuerto está operativo, hoy se espera que lleguen hospitales móviles.

Esto es resultado de los trabajos para reparar y certificar el aeropuerto realizados por especialistas estadounidenses y el Ejército.

Durante los primeros días de la ayuda de EEUU, el único aeródromo disponible para aeronaves de mayor tamaño era Libertador, la base militar. Pero representaba varios desafíos, entre ellos que se encuentra a un par de horas de la zona más afectada, La Guaira.

The #LACoFD international USAR team, known as USA-2, has been activated by the @StateDept to respond to Venezuela in the wake of the earthquakes that hit the country’s center.  

The USA-2 team departed this evening. USA-2 is comprised of 71 members, 6 canine teams & includes 84,000 pounds of equipment. USA-2 joins the @VATF1 to provide search, rescue & recovery assistance. 

Our thoughts are with all those impacted by these devastating earthquakes & we wish all the responding first responders safe travels as they assist during this time of great need.
