A figure of speech is a word/phrase that possesses a separate meaning from its literal definition. It can be a metaphor or simile, designed 2 make a comparison. It can be the repetition of alliteration or the exaggeration of hyperbole 2 provide a dramatic effect
Actually this was a lively prog with the audience stealing the show - especially the young Yessers who want their chance to vote & the man who wants a version of the NI Border poll legislation for Scotlsnd. Surprising agreement that something like that’s needed from Labour.
According to Einstein, the physicist James Clerk Maxwell changed the world forever. On a train to Heidelberg I astonished a young German physicist by telling him the genius was a Scot, and not an Engländer as he presumed. If we don’t preserve & teach our history, no one will.
🏴 Scotland is energy-rich, yet we're paying some of the highest energy bills in Europe.
⚡️ Independence would give Scotland the power to provide affordable energy and much-needed energy security.
Michael Gove says that expressions of racist and misogynistic violence should be subject to ‘Christian forgiveness’. The use of Christo-fascist ideology in UK politics is being normalised.
Labour were in power in 3 govts for better part of a decade - they could have changed education then.
But didnt.
More pish from a traitor to the working class.
📉 Hepburn's Independence papers have been a flop. They don't scare the horses in Westminster and they don't advance the cause of Independence.
🗣️ "Winnie Ewing got us this Parliament. Alex Salmond got us a referendum. @jamiehepburn has got us ignored."
We’ll get rid of the ‘Freeports’ after independence? Will we? Bear in mind that the Honduras Freeports are *exactly* the model being established right now, in Scotland.

This issue is reserved but it's interesting that Labour are demanding action on oil/gas but I've never heard one of them moan about the lack of a Scottish wind turbine or hydrogen electrolyser or fuel cell manufacturer @ScottishLabour
A disaster for Police Scotland. They had to admit defeat in failing to identify which Scottish Civil Servant leaked the AS information to the Daily Record. There was only a handful of people who had access to the information but Police failed in the most public fashion.
Daniel Johnson campaigned with his Conservative allies to ensure control of the economy and energy stayed in Westminster in 2014. Now he's blaming the SNP over Grangemouth.
@msm_monitor The only way Scotland can have democracy is if the English parties and their media leave our country.
#ScottishIndependence is the only way.
@msm_monitor Hey @BBCGaryR
Any chance of you letting him answer your question rather than constantly butting in with pre-rehearsed soundbites whenever your producer nods his head?
6 times you interrupted.
Are you trying to replace Fiona Bruce on @bbcquestiontime ?
@msm_monitor BBC Scotland openly campaigns for whatever unionist party it thinks is the nearest challenger to the SNP, it just doesn’t care about impartiality, it’s why every Indy supporter in Scotland should cancel their licence, I know I have. #VoteSNP
@msm_monitor BBC Scotland supports whichever Unionist branch is in power over Scotland. That is their function: Unionist News not journalism.
We need to organise a mass campaign targeted at BBC Scotland. This should entail mass NON-PAYMENT of the License Fee & reegular demonstrations at PQ.
Despite Labour pretending that GB Energy will be some kind of publicly owned electricity supplier or retailer which will lower bills as soon as Lab are elected it's nothing of the sort. It's there to invest in private companies building renewable schemes for profit.
Ask the awkward questions! Why is Yousaf talking about making the 2024 Westminster election an anti-Tory campaign? Why is he not proposing to make the election serve Scotland’s cause? Why is he not talking about an anti-Union campaign? https://t.co/SwH53P0dbJ #EndTheUnion #ScottishUDI #RepurposeYourVote
The leader of the Conservative group in Scotland, who've spent the whole day in a froth, recently said he'd wage an unrelenting war on 1.3 million Scottish voters.
Unrelenting. Divisive?
