According to this post, a disagreement escalated into threats of harm or carjacking. How does someone trying to earn a living suddenly become a target?

What gets me is that the car is also the driver’s livelihood. You’re threatening his safety and the thing he depends on to pay his bills. Meanwhile, he’s stuck wondering whether the person sitting behind him means what he says.

Paying for a ride entitles you to transportation. It doesn’t entitle you to intimidate the person taking you there.

🚨WANTED FOR ELDERLY ASSAULT: On Sunday, September 27, 2026, at approximately 2:00 PM, a 68-year-old male victim engaged in a verbal dispute with an unidentified male inside a commercial establishment located at 700 Exterior Street, confines of the 44 Precinct. The individual threw a rock at the victim, striking him in the mouth and causing pain and swelling. The individual then fled the location on foot to parts unknown. EMS responded and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was listed in stable condition.
