@jrovner No, really? That's a biggie. I must have been warming up my tea and missed it. They are taking a lot of jabs at the system. Rural hospital closings was the last I saw.
@XfinitySupport AI voice agent was speaking to me impersonating a real person. VERY unsettling. Creepy. When I asked if voice was an AI agent it said "No, you are speaking to a real person." So we're making AI agents lie too? Some words off. Cadence weird. Not a good move. STOP.
Think I'm fired up?? Fox "News" was playing on @JetBlue screen. I stopped the attendant. "I find what's on the screen offensive. Is there a way to remove it " He pointed to controls on arm rest. So boomer of me. ππ No boycott necessary
We're still working on medical bankruptcy. The Affordable Care Act helped over 21 million people get insurance through state marketplaces this year. Thx Obamacare! But we still need to work on why medical debt is still happening.#Obamacare#Insurance#ArtAsSocialInquiry#portrait
2010 painting. b4 ACA, plp were penalized for having preexisting conditions. She just got old. Too young to qualify for Medicare & too old to get good insurance rate. At 60,premium doubled. Today, she could get insurance on marketplace. https://t.co/mfGNkbm1Mn)
@LouiseNorris As a former small business owner with a small group of 3-4 people, we were always afraid to use the insurance. We feared a lot of claims would cause our group rates to skyrocket. Plp take for granted a lot of the ACA protections they enjoy.
@professorjacobs @JStein_WaPo Husband's $8,000 deduct means he uses old meds, self-treats everything. I even stitched up my own finger (not an MD), used popsicle sticks for a DIY, self-treated finger injury. Seen plp ration oxygen, go bankrupt b/c high-deducts.I used 6yr old steroid eye drops for flare-up.
I'm visiting past work. A redo. Woman has brief period of being uninsured. Faces humiliation of going to ER as uninsured person. #healthcare#uninsured before #ACA (oil on linen, 40 ins. x 30 ins.)

Access to affordable #healthcare is a human right...and a national right in a first-world country like ours. The #ACA / #Obamacare saved Kerry's life. Still SO much work to do. Kerry's story here: https://t.co/kqxNyapcXd
