Almost no modern, general-purpose computer is free of every Chinese-origin part. Systems that minimize or exclude Chinese content in the security-critical pieces do exist, mainly for defense and intelligence use, but they are specialized, often older-process, and still rarely “China-free” down to the last capacitor.China accounts for a large share of printed-circuit-board fabrication, electronic assembly, many passive components (capacitors, resistors, connectors), and related materials. Final assembly outside China—Taiwan, Vietnam, Mexico, the United States, Japan—does not mean the parts inside were made outside China. Consumer and commercial vendors almost never publish a full bill of materials that would let a buyer prove zero Chinese content. Even brands that advertise non-China final assembly (for example, some Framework laptops assembled in Taiwan) do not claim every component is non-Chinese.
