#VeteransWeek is Nov 5-11. At @royhcrosbyps where there are military and veteran staff members and families, staff and students are remembering the service and sacrifice of military members and veterans by placing student hand-made poppies on the school lawn.
@royanlee Thanks for sharing this, as I’m about to apply to QECO soon...I’m worried they won’t count my MA or my 14 yrs of service with YRDSB because I wasn’t a ‘teacher ‘. I also don’t get how they aren’t linked to OCT- I have to send docs twice? So complicated 🤦🏻♀️
@dougmcneall Can you use make this into a presentation or article that teachers could use in class? It’s very understandable to me, the non scientist! Would be great for grade 8 geography 😊
@VirtualGiff Hey Jen, I finally finished my B.Ed...I however in the meantime will be in my safe and comfy schoolhouse...waiting for- a better re opening plan; hiring to start; and then see how things are fairing with numbers before I become an OT/LTO
@sarafaulkner @jessewente @mcconnelltlss@agawap@NBascevan Over the past 5 yrs, we’ve used the desks from the boys school at Spanish, as a launching point to talk to students about Residentail Schools and the 1850 common schools act, which included the separate schools clause- to legally separate Catholics, Protestants and Blacks.
