Watch the Houdini 22 Keynote live on YouTube, premiering in one hour.
Some of the key highlights in this release include new Copernicus tools for texturing and for the generation of Terrains and Ocean Spectrums. Houdini 22 makes creative exploration faster and more powerful and includes native implementations of Gaussian splatting and controllable Machine Learning pipelines. New rigging, animation, retargeting and motion mixing tools use KineFX and APEX to provide deep procedural flexibility across the entire character pipeline along with highly optimized hair, fur & muscle physics. Fast layout, set dressing and powerful scattering procedurals have been added to Solaris. And a whole lot more.
SideFX staff will be available during the Live Premiere to respond to your questions and feedback.

DOOM in Maya, powered by Bifrost + Python
Started as a RE9 remake attempt, but since that’s not ready yet, I’m showcasing it with DOOM for now.
Playtesting and building directly in Maya instead of jumping to Unreal or Unity is insanely fun and a huge time saver.

I'm just an old 3D artist. Of course I added tiny bits of twigs and dirt to Zubr's fur to make him look more realistic. Did anyone spot that in the end? Probably not a single living soul. 🤷♂️ @sidefx@arnoldrenderer
All in all i still do my crap models, rigs & animation by hand... but at least I got to learn and enjoy the process!
