I used to think we needed big public efforts to “Support the Arts!”

I had it all wrong.

Societies build thriving creative cultures when they value art.

When someone talks about "protecting artists," that’s cap.

When they talk about growing arts economies, that’s based.

It’s about creating the right incentives in the free market for anyone to pursue their creative vision—not about validating those who would performatively cater to the whims of a collectivist horde or political elites.
