During this closure the AGNS will continue to offer its scheduled in-community programming, including Creative Minds: Erasure Collective on February 28, 7pm at the Halifax Central Library, and in-school programs through ArtsSmarts and ArtReach.

Starting February 1, 2024, the AGNS will be closing for an extended period for required building maintenance. The Gallery will look to reopen in the Spring.

AGNS is on Mi’kma’ki (Mi’kmaq Territory) & through the Peace & Friendship Treaties, which the Mi’kmaq, Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet), & Passamaquoddy Peoples first signed with the British Crown in 1725-1726, there was no surrender of lands nor resources.
