Quite a few people commented on or liked tweets about the idea of #formulaicNames and #INaturalist presented at #TDWG2022 Thank you, and I will contact you all to see if you wish to be involved in furthering the discussion
Anyone know what this tree is. Found near the top of the Cape York Peninsula, Queensland. I suspected Sapindaceae but can't find anything it fits. Tree - broad leaves, fruit with wings (like a Dodonaea), 5 carpels.
In two weeks I will be giving a talk at #TDWG2022 in Sofia on formulaic or phrase names for known undescribed species and the need for such names in #iNaturlist. We have also established an iNaturalist project for undescribed new species phrase names.
