Drove Tesla FSD v14 Lite for an hour tonight on my M3 HW3 Tesla
WAYYY better than v12.6.4.
I know smoother is often the word used to describe a great build, but it just it fits for this update, very smooth.
Tested HWY, residential, and back roads. All great!
The parking feature worked exactly the same as using it with the Cybertruck. This v14 lite, on a HW3, feels as good as v14 to me on an AI4 vehicle.
Very impressive @Tesla_AI — superb engineering feat! Thank you again for bringing the older fleet up to par 🙏
v14 Lite Release Notes:
– Distilled the intelligence from HW4 V14 into HW3. This allows HW3 to directly learn how to handle scenarios using HW4 V14 as a guide. This process unlocks the improvements that have been made to HW4 including Reinforcement Learning (RL) and offline models for HW3.
– Improved both proactive and reactive responsiveness across a wide variety of categories including navigation handling, merges and forks, pedestrian interactions, traffic lights, and vehicle cut-in scenarios.
– Improved general comfort in nominal scenarios through fewer false slowdowns, smoother steering and more consistent lane centering.
– Introduced parking, unparking, and reversing capabilities.
– Added Arrival Options for you to select where FSD should park: in a Parking Lot, on the Street, in a Driveway, or at the Curbside.
– Speed Profiles are now available at all times, to further customize driving style preference.
FSD V14 Lite has just officially started rolling out to @Tesla owners with HW3! It’s finally here!
V14 Lite introduces many of the same features for HW3 owners as V14 for HW4 owners, including:
• Speed profiles
• Start self-driving rom park
• Arrival options
• and much more!
Lee Kuan Yew:
“Air conditioning was a most important invention for us, perhaps one of the signal inventions of history. It changed the nature of civilization by making development possible in the tropics. Without air conditioning you can work only in the cool early-morning hours or at dusk. The first thing I did upon becoming prime minister was to install air conditioners in buildings where the civil service worked. This was key to public efficiency."
Andrew Ross Sorkin on Elon Musk:
“He is a demonstrable force for good. He’s a genius. I admire so much about what he’s created; If I look at the totality of this man, 100-200 years from now, he’s the person we’ll be writing the history books about."
It is humbling to consider that if we harness just 1 millionth of the Sun’s power for AI, that will be much more than a million times the intelligence of all of humanity
Not necessarily. The new model is TASS (Transportation as a Service) Robotaxi, Deliveries... etc. They are gearing up to scale that in a way that will dwarf anything they've done before and by lowering the cost basis that will undercut anything existing in the market, a much alrger TAM opens up. I believe it. Others don't. We'll see how it plays out over the next 12. months.
@mpharrisonHarry@YTJustGetATesla@SantoroSystems@alojoh Just "a car company" is a losing game and not something I would want to be an investor in. Robotaxi, Unsupervised FSD and Bots was the better pivot. And market agrees by keeping the PE this high for so long.
@YTJustGetATesla@SantoroSystems@alojoh I would never ever buy a car without FSD. I would rather wait for it to be available and suffer with the smaller form factor than buy any vehicle without it. I guess I'm nobody.
@noxeout@TitaniumTomP but I think it was beautifully engineered so that index entry happens around the same time as first lock up expiry, so that will buffer those sellers with quite a bit of forced buying.
I think you addressed my objections that I raised against your last post. It all comes down to timing and valuation, (which I’ve always agreed on.) I guess I don’t believe the so-called fast track merge is really on the table. This is just a theory out there. I think the merge will happen post Robotaxi wide scaling and maybe even post data centers in Space. I do think the data centers in space are actually closer than you think though. They’re really not much different technology wise from Starlink 3 satellites and even simpler in many ways.
Here's the clip that apparently terminated my YouTube channel.
While livestreaming about the SpaceX IPO, I tried to share what I believed was the official livestream of the SpaceX IPO ceremony. I clicked on a video on YouTube that appeared to be legitimate live coverage. Afterall, it was apparently on the offical Nasdaq YT channel. After playing it for about 20 seconds, I realized it was an AI deepfake, so I immediately stopped it and told my viewers it was fake.
My only intention was to show the real ceremony to my audience. As soon as I noticed the issue, I clicked off.
I’ve learned from this experience and will be much more careful when selecting and verifying content before going live. That said, I believe terminating the entire channel for an unintentional mistake was quite severe. I would appreciate it if you could review and reconsider this decision.
