Happy MLK Jr. Day.

Dr. King fought for dignity, housing, jobs, peace, and an end to poverty. Decades later, those same fights are still unfinished here in Los Angeles.

Today I officially announce my run for Congress in CA-34. I am living the same crisis my district is living. Sky-high rent. Worsening homelessness. Families working full time and still falling behind. I refuse to accept that this is the best we can do.

Our community has been represented by Jimmy Gomez for years, yet homelessness has increased, rent keeps rising, and working people are still being left behind. CA-34 deserves leadership that lives these realities and is willing to fight for real material change.

I am a democratic socialist, and this campaign is about material relief. That means Universal Basic Income. Housing as a human right. Medicare for All. A Green New Deal that creates union jobs. A humane immigration system and an end to ICE as we know it. It also means rejecting corporate PAC money and answering only to the people of this district.

We can afford dignity. What we have lacked is the political will to prioritize it. That changes now.
