I Almost Quit Trading 4 years ago

I had $15,000 in a personal account

I risked $5000 on 1 trade & we all know what happened after that..

By the end of the day I had just $2,000 left in the account

My trading was so stressful at the time because I had no plan. No one to hold accountable, No mentor. Nothing.

That wasn’t even the worst part..

My wife came home that day & saw I was stressed out I told her what happened and she couldn’t believe it

I felt like a complete failure not only has a trader but as a husband, My wife was pregnant at the time

Thoughts were running through my head “am I going to have to go back to my old job” “what will people think?”

But I made a choice to lock in and start holding myself accountable

Did I still lose money? Yes, but I was taking something from my losses and trying to get 1% better on each trade

All of that led me here & it took me way longer than it should’ve because I couldn’t get out of my own way & I had no one to help me. It was just me. It was lonely.

Remember this quote “Everyone is jealous of what you got. No one is jealous of how you got it.”
