For the last 20 years, Google has been lecturing SEOs.
They’ve been telling us to create valuable, fact based content, or else.
Now their latest AI product, Veo 3 creates fake AI videos so good that its main use is to fool boomers on competing platforms to farm engagement.
And they have no issue with it 🤷♂️
In the annals of literary history, one name shines with a brilliance that has remained undimmed for over four centuries – William Shakespeare. His literary contributions have not only defined the contours of English drama but have also left an indelible mark on world literature.
Yesterday, I made more than $10K on Mediavine with my portfolio of 16 sites.
In the past 10 years, I've created over 30 websites and only failed with 2.
Here, I'm going to share all my strategies on how I achieved a success rate of over 90% with my sites:
1. Use some time to choose your niche wisely
There are many pieces of advice and courses out there offering step-by-step processes on how to pick a good niche in a week or two.
While these steps and advice can be useful, I strongly disagree with the suggested timeframe.
Would you decide on the location and design of your house, where you plan to live, in just a week?
I think not.
The same principle applies to picking a good niche. Before starting any website, I spend a month or two analyzing 30+ niches and hundreds of websites. This research is in-depth.
With many years of experience, I can now spot a good niche in just two weeks.
I highly suggest taking your time. Even when you think you've found the perfect niche, give yourself a few more days to double-check everything.
If you find the right niche, everything else will be much easier.
2. Make a plan that HAS to work
While I'm choosing the right niche, I also make a plan that I believe has to work. There's no room for doubt.
I make a clear plan about where I'll get visitors from, how many articles I'll write, and how I'll earn money from it.
As I said before, I’m traffic agnostic as long as it works—be it organic search, Facebook, Pinterest, or anything else.
Ideally, I choose a niche where I can grow traffic from multiple sources, like Facebook and organic search. While one source can be highly successful , I prefer to have at least two.
I'll explain later why this is crucial for me.
3. Don’t wait to scale when something is working
When I have my niche, plan, and website, I get a team together and create a lot of content.
Many people suggest creating 50-100 articles in the first year, then checking if they rank, and scaling if they do. While this approach might seem logical, I find it too slow for today's world and this business.
Once I create the website, I go all in. I produce at least 50 articles a month for 10 months straight. By the end of 10 months, my website has at least 500 articles published.
Depending on the results, I then decide how much more content to produce.
4. Make a solid backup plan
Three times, my primary plan failed. For instance, I had a website in the pet niche. My initial plan was to create SEO-focused content on a large scale and monetize it with Mediavine.
After 15 months, I grew that website's traffic from zero to 10K daily organic visits.
However, after a Google update, daily traffic dropped to 4K sessions.
Fortunately, I had a backup plan to pivot to Facebook, which proved successful.
Now, that website is doing amazingly well with traffic from Facebook.
5. Patience is the key
In this business, the most significant rewards often come after 2 years. My philosophy is that the longer you can reinvest in the business before taking profits, the better.
I'm a strong advocate for heavily investing in the first 2 years and only expecting a return on the 3rd or 4th year.
This strategy is how you build on a large scale and expand your portfolio.
6. Your knowledge and time are your most valuable assets
Many years ago, I started this portfolio with just $10.
Now, I can leverage money for growth and investment, but it's not essential. While money can make many things easier and accelerate growth, it's not the ultimate solution at all.
Your most valuable assets are the knowledge you've acquired and the time and effort you've invested.
If I lost all my sites today, I believe I could replicate the entire process starting again with just $10.
"If someone can do it, anyone can do it."
