We are proud to have 10 students participating in the Roane Choral Society children’s choir concert today. Thank you Mrs. Land for sharing this opportunity and sparking a love for music with our students everyday.
@markseidenberg I would also be interested in voiceover as well as well as how these ideas should translate into practice- particularly for English Language Learners.
@VoteGloriaJ If you are interested, make sure you download the PDF that has the passages/writing prompts. It is more similar. Only it’s about 4 times as long. The grammar quiz is nothing like TCAP- besides some of the questions not having correct answer choices to choose.
@AbbyTeachesDSM@ELeducation My little one’s teacher gave her a bird “workbook” and several bird books as her summer gift. She is obsessed- even after Modules 3 and 4- loves to “study” birds!
Our goal is to provide a space that takes learning outside and becomes a gathering place for teachers, students, and the Lenoir City community. Today our 2nd graders worked ALL day building pollinator gardens and @TheMuse came to teach our students about bats. It was a great DAY!
I am soooo happy to hear from the News-Harold that these 2 teachers won teacher of the year! Margaret Bright is an amazing teacher and teammate! Ale Kallaugher is fabulous and the kiddos at LCES adore her!!
Congratulations ladies!! 🧡🖤
Teaching foundational skills requires teacher modeling. How do we help our teachers find the “sweet spot of modeling?” See the @ReadingShanahan quote below 👇🏽.
Such a great way to end the regular season, with several of our swimmers earning top spots in the finals.💪 The hard work continues to prepare for State! Thank you parents, coaches and friends for supporting us. 🥰 @Panthers_LCHS@lcimspanthers@northmiddlestar @hannahe530
@pernilleripp When I taught 6th Grade my favorite poem to teach was The Road Not Taken- we read it during our novel study of Tuck Everlasting- also my favorite novel to teach. Figurative language, imagery, metaphor- It was such a wonderful pairing in many ways! Miss it sometimes!
