alsooo we should acknowledge that most ppl who can take on unpaid internships usually have some sort of financial privilege at home that allows them to afford to work for free. their housing is paid for, transportation, lunch etc.

Internships are not summer camp y’all… It’s a job. You will be expected to show up on time and do labor. Rarely is it ever a mutually beneficial dynamic ESPECIALLY when you aren’t being compensated for your time
