TikTok, Fanatics, and the NFL got sued this week for allegedly teaming up to wipe out independent sports memorabilia sellers on TikTok.

The complaint claims TikTok, Fanatics, and the NFL worked together to ban sellers under false pretenses, send them threatening letters on NFL letterhead, reset their accounts so they lost years of followers and visibility, then hand those customers straight to Fanatics…

That is, unless the sellers agreed to buy exclusively from Fanatics and give them a cut of every sale.

DraftKings filed its Bill of Costs on Thursday to the court.

May have asked about it, so I did some more digging!

After winning the summary judgment on a sealed ruling, they’re seeking $23,502.80 from Nicholas Bavas.

Here’s a breakdown of the big-ticket items (from the supporting affidavit of their counsel):

• Plaintiff’s own deposition (transcript + video): ~$4,910
• Expert depositions and multiple 30(b)(6)/fact witnesses: the bulk of the rest
• Pro hac vice fees, filing fees, hearing transcript, and printing/courtesy copies

They argue every deposition was “reasonably necessary” at the time it was taken… even the ones used only for the summary judgment briefing that the public still can’t read in full.

Something kgs on random sampling off newly offloaded bags, non was at 50kgs as required: This is a BIG danger to the Ugandan lives, this is the reason buildings collapse on expenses of innocent lives due to miscalculations of building materials after using such brands , this is stealing of ~ 10kg each time a bag is bought, exorbitantly stealing billions of money from poor Ugandans paying for such substandard products! Such factories should not have space in Uganda!

I will not be cleaning
If the government can afford endless convoys, luxury vehicles for MPs and ministers, extravagant donations, then it can certainly afford to hire professional cleaners and put proper waste management systems in place.

Taxpayers already fund the state. That money should be used to install adequate public garbage bins, maintain regular professional cleaning services, and build sustainable sanitation infrastructure not to guilt ordinary citizens into doing unpaid labour every last Saturday of the month.

Asking the public to do our part while leaders live in excess and the basic systems remain broken is not civic responsibility. It is shifting the burden of government failure onto the people.

A clean environment is important, yes but it is first and foremost the responsibility of a competent state that collects taxes precisely for this purpose.

Until the excessive waste and mismanagement of public resources stops, I will not participate in these cleaning exercises.

Hire professionals. Fix the systems. Stop treating citizens as free labour for problems created by poor governance.

You all know how much I dislike @TheGoobr after the $150k he never gave back to me. I’m probably one of the last people you’d expect to defend him.

But I’ve known Tim for years. Long before all of this. Back when he was celebrating every $1,000 win on stream.

If there’s one thing I’m convinced of, it’s that he’s a gambling addict. I know because I am one too. I’ve done things with money that most people wouldn’t believe. When you’re wired like that, gambling becomes the first thing you think about when you wake up and the last thing before you sleep.

Was that balance fake? Was it real? I honestly don’t know.

What I do know is that, fake or real, he’d keep playing until it was gone.

I also believe karma exists. Deep down, I think Tim knows he morally owes me that money. I don’t think I’m the only person he’s wronged either.

I genuinely hope he fixes his mistakes, becomes the person he used to be, and finally finds some peace.

29-year-old Olivia Cabot Burns was cruising southbound in East Boca in a black Porsche just before midnight when an officer spotted her weaving across lanes and crossing the fog line.

She told the officer she was heading home to Wellington from West Boca… while driving in the opposite direction.

Bloodshot eyes, expired registration, and a lost driver’s license later, she admitted to having some wine. Breath tests came back under the legal limit, but officers still found about 1.5 grams of a white powdery substance in the center console.

She’s also a habitual traffic offender with a revoked license.

Burns was arrested for DUI, cocaine possession, and driving with a revoked license, then bonded out for more than $12,000.

On Wednesday, the day was coming to an end and I was so exhausted. Like I said earlier, I know that I made mistake watching the World Cup finals, but I don’t regret it. Spain did us well. Yes, my body is still paying for that night, but it’s okay.

Now, when you’re exhausted like that you keep hoping that the last patient would be the real last one. That didn’t happen. Whenever I would start packing to leave, another last patient would arrive.

One of those was this cute little girl who looked more exhausted than me. She had traveled all day from a very far district with her father.

This thing right here was really bothering her. The growth was protruding outside and preventing her eyes from closing.

My fatigue wanted me to push the surgery to the next week, after all it wasn’t an emergency but when I ask the little girl whether she was ready for surgery, she said: ‘Yes, I want this thing removed now’.

That was it for me. You can’t deny a child what she wants! 😊.

The surgery was done under local anaesthesia. I could hear her heart beating so loud. She was scared, but I kept reassuring her that all will be done in the shortest time.

I thanked her for her bravery. Today she can close her eyes again. Her confidence is back. No one is staring at her awkwardly anymore.

That’s what I want for the girl child: CONFIDENCE! I don’t want anything to take her confidence away.
