The machine on the left is the SRI packet radio van where the internet was born. It routed data across 3 networks with no tower, no ISP, no central hub. Just nodes hopping packets. That's mesh networking, and it's older than the internet itself.
The machine on the right is our future Blackbox. Same principle, modern guts:
• messaging over LoRa mesh
• a local LLM running fully on-device
• Cashu/Bitcoin payments that move as plain text over radio
• GPS + mapping
Off-grid. No internet required.
The internet started decentralized and survivable. We're just bringing it home.
Magic Internet Money never came
they told us we were early
now we just look unemployed
but we stayed long enough
to become part of the lore
BURNOUTS
Ordinals Bitcoin
we came for the bullrun
ended up staying for the collapse
late night charts
dead comms
empty promises
some people made fortunes
some lost everything
some of us just became burnouts
the hype died a moment ago
we’re just documenting what survived

the internet goes silent the BLACKBOX board is still there
messages still moving, nodes still syncing, people still reaching through Radio
this isn't nostalgia for the old internet it's preparation for the next one
watch the mesh wake up
if you'd run a node! wave 👋
So what does Blackbox actually bring to the table? Lemme break it down with real use cases.
Meshtastic sends text over radio. That's useful but limited. Blackbox is an entire infrastructure layer on top of that same radio it pushes AI, maps, and money through a channel most people only use for short messages.
Use case 1 / ask your AI from anywhere
You have a local LLM running at home. You're out in the field, no signal, no wifi. You send a query over LoRa. Your home node thinks and replies. Over radio. No OpenAI. No cloud. No API. Just your machine talking to you across kilometers.
Use case 2 / coordinate a team off-grid
TAK is mapping and tracking software originally built by the US military for situational awareness. Blackbox runs it over mesh. Picture a rescue dispatcher on a laptop tracking every team member's GPS position in real time, giving directions. Works the same for disaster response, rural security, even airsoft games.
Use case 3 / pay without internet
@CashuBTC ecash over mesh radio. Blind, private, no bank, no KYC. You send bitcoin-backed payments to someone in the field using radio waves. That's it. All open source. All local-first. No cloud dependency.
What does a real off-grid sovereign node look like in 2026?
→ Local LLM [no API, no cloud inference]
→ LoRa mesh [no ISP, no cell tower]
→ TAK maps [no Google, no server dependency]
→ @CashuBTC + Bitcoin [no bank, no KYC, blind ecash]
Requests route over LoRa at ~200 bytes. Responses chunk automatically. E2E encrypted the whole way.
One laptop. One $30 radio.
If you've been waiting for the cypherpunk stack to be usable ⇢ it's Blackbox [LINK in BIO]
Who's running nodes?
You trade on-chain... You mint on-chain... Then you open Discord to talk about it.
That's not Web3... That's Web2 with a wallet.
