There’s something wild and unapologetic about Toma’s art ☝️🤓

The women she creates are sensual, powerful, sometimes dangerous, and always surrounded by a world of color, fantasy, and a little bit of darkness. She moves easily between dreamy, almost fairytale-like scenes and something much bolder and more provocative, never being afraid to embrace both sides. There’s a beautiful sense of freedom in her work — like these women don’t ask for permission to be exactly who they are ☝️

And yes, you might also spot a few colorful surprises on her page — those are her son’s artworks. Looks like creativity runs in the family! 😁

Q: Where and when did you begin your artistic journey?
A: My journey didn't begin in a studio or art school. It began in 2020, when I first encountered digital art on my phone.

Q: If I were a famous artist, who would I be?
A: Probably a mix of Frida Kahlo and Hayao Miyazaki 😄
Frida shares her love of turning personal experiences into art, and Miyazaki shares her desire to create worlds where every detail hides a story. I enjoy not just painting a pretty picture, but creating a doorway to another world.

Q: Would you rather live with a porcupine or a sloth?
A: Definitely a sloth 😄🦥
I think it would be a perfect fit for my creative chaos. It would remind me to sometimes slow down, enjoy the moment, and not try to do everything at once. Although, I think in a week he'd be tired of my "I'm just going to sit down and draw for 5 minutes" routine. 🤣

Q: What's your next achievement or milestone?
A: My next goal is to continue to expand beyond my usual world. I want to create larger-scale stories, participate in international projects, and show that digital art can be as emotional and profound as traditional art.

And another big dream is to one day see my work in a physical space: at an exhibition or in a gallery.

Q: What would you say to someone just starting to master Web3?
A: Don't just chase sales. Web3 is first and foremost about people, connections, and the story you create around your art. Be authentic, communicate, support other artists, and don't be afraid to experiment.

Your style and your uniqueness are something that cannot be copied. Even if no one notices you yet, keep creating. Sometimes one piece can change everything.

Why are artists bored with NFTs?

Because the most unexpected, original, innovative ideas are often met with indifference from collectors.

Why are collectors bored?

Because eventually, many artists start creating what they think the market wants, catering to collectors’ tastes instead of staying original.

It’s a completely absurd disconnect.

Artists think collectors want something safe and familiar. Collectors complain that everything starts to look the same.

Maybe we all just need to stop thinking about money so much, open our eyes a little wider, listen to ourselves, and give ourselves the freedom to explore.

Artists and collectors alike.
