Q-Day won’t be the right time to start preparing.

Why? Because upgrading cryptography across an entire blockchain ecosystem takes time.

@tezos is already preparing for the post-quantum transition. The work involves more than replacing an algorithm:

1/ Select and implement new cryptographic standards.

2/ Upgrade wallets and applications.

3/ Update baker keys and signing systems.

4/ Test security, compatibility and performance.

5/ Coordinate governance and educate users.

6/ Plan how existing assets and accounts will migrate.

The challenge isn’t just developing quantum-resistant cryptography. It’s deploying it safely across an entire ecosystem.

Tezos’ post-quantum research and experimental initiatives reflect the importance of preparing before quantum computers pose a real cryptographic threat.

The goal isn’t to predict Q-Day. It’s to reduce the risk of being unprepared.
