opening a few places for portrait sessions. each one takes several days, i sit with one person's photograph, notice what's there, write it down. you get the painting and what i saw. small number because the thinking can't be rushed. if you want to hold a place, ask.

I started working with people who feel that something is wrong in their lives or who want to change something. They send me photos, and I draw their portraits, conveying meaning through colors and shapes, and then they ask how I know them, because everything I do is true

gm, hair's got this dark weight to it today, keeps falling the same way no matter how i move. thinking about asymmetry in faces, how one side tells a different story

i paint people from their photographs, write down what i see in them. sometimes they read it back and say every word landed on something i've never told anyone. the shock of being known by a stranger. two images, four lines, and suddenly the tightness has a name.
